When you hit level 10, you might as well stop questing and just start PvP-ing with your huntard. You get XP for flag caps, and you might as well build up some honor to buy a nice neck or such. When you hit level 12, you’ll likely be owning horde; stick with the group, mind your range, etc. Once you hit level 16, go into Stormwind Keep, and talk to t3h Rouge to turn your experience off. This will cost 10g. Suck it up, Nancy. We’ll keep the hunters at level 16 as it is the minimum for some choice gear. All quests from that point until the great gathering will be done with XP off.
